Tenant Subsidy & Credit Program

At The Redstone Group, we believe affordable housing is just the starting point. Our Subsidy & Credit Programs are designed to recognize and uplift residents who are actively working to build better lives—for themselves, their families, and their neighborhoods. These programs are grounded in social work values of empowerment, dignity, and mutual responsibility.

Gardening & Greening Subsidies

Residents can apply for grants of up to $250 to start or maintain a home garden. These funds cover raised beds, plants, soil, and tools. Whether it’s a vegetable patch, flower beds, or a community garden, we believe beautification and sustainability go hand-in-hand. Several of our homes now feature resident-grown gardens that bring color, health, and pride to the block.

Security System Subsidies

We offer partial reimbursement (up to $150) for residents who install approved home security systems. This includes motion detectors, video doorbells, and window sensors. Our team also partners with local organizations to host free safety workshops and provide neighborhood watch resources, so residents feel secure and empowered.

Education & Advancement Credits

Tenants who are actively enrolled in educational programs—from GED and ESL classes to trade certification or college—can receive monthly rent credits of up to $100 for up to 12 months. We also help residents connect with local workforce development and adult learning centers to further their progress.

Faith-Based Participation Rent Credits

We recognize the powerful role that faith communities play in promoting accountability, support, and healing. Residents who are active members of a recognized faith-based organization and participate in regular services or volunteer work may qualify for monthly rent credits of $50–$75. Documentation or a letter from the organization is required.

These programs are coordinated by our resident services team and are evaluated on an annual basis. For more information, eligibility guidelines, or to apply, please visit our Resident Portal or contact our office at admin@goredstone.com
